Ultimate place to stay in Thamel

Make yourself relax & comfortable in Hotel Cisit Nepal.

  • Perfect 10-days stay I stayed here (Hotel Visit Nepal) nine nights because I enjoyed it so much. Friendly staff, loveable owner that speaks good English, and right in the heart of Thamel, the liveliest neighborhood in Kathmandu. The owner is a great proponent of village tourism and can easily connect you with unique experiences where you will get to tour the real Nepal Also, they have sufficient information for all Himalayan tours, including inexpensive mountain flights. When I come back in the future, I will stay here, no doubt.

  • I often call to mind the days in your hotel. You brought us to hospital. We felt peace of mind in your hotel for a long travel. About the end of December my old best friends (their name are Yama and Rie.) will visit to Kathmandu. When they visited my house certenly recommended your hotel and gave a card to them.

  • Safe & Welcoming I stayed at Hotel Visit Nepal for about 2 months while my volunteering in Nepal. After moving from one place to another the first month of my stay in Nepal I finally felt I found my temporary "home." The hotel is located in a safe area in Thamel, secure and very welcoming. The fact that my room was clean, insect less, with a hot water and TV felt like a luxury which I definitely did not expect to have while in Kathmandu. I am very grateful I found this place early on during my stay in Nepal; it was just what I needed - comfortable place to go back to every night, after spending a day working on my stories.

  • I am Dr. Tapan Manna from Kolkata India. I came here in Nepal for a short visit & stayed in Hotel Visit Nepal run by Mr. Parashuram. I found this place not a hotel but more than a hotel by the homely atmosphere & friendly behave of Mr. Parashuram. He helped me like a friend since long in every step like guiding & arranging all the requirements of my Nepal tour in a fair cost. Thank you my Nepali brother Parashuram ! I am really grateful to you. Yours truly,

  • Well, I would like to say, first of all, what a lovely, sincere welcome I received the first time I stayed at Hotel visit Nepal as an Info Nepal Volunteer. All of the “H. V. N.” staffs were always offering little suggestions and things to try in Thamel, as well as help with travel, sight-seeing and many other things. Hotel Visit Nepal is a great little sanctuary on a quiet side street of Thamel, but still near the heart of everything- there are inexpensive bakeries and cybercafés adjacent, doors away, the rooms are secure and have all you need in a home away from home. However I really must add that in my “hour of need”, Hotel Visit Nepal staff really came through for me (on my second stay there)!! I had broken my wrist and had to come all the way back from Langtang to get it looked at Kathmandu Hospital very nearby. Although the cramped, hot and dusty Six hour bus ride had drained most of my energy, the moment I sat down in your cool breezy lobby and talked with some of your staff again, K knew all would be ok again some how I cant thank all of you (who helped me) enough for all the kindnesses bestowed from storing my heavy pack, to helping me contact my volunteers organization, to even accompanying me the hospital and helping to locate the doctor… You guys really rock, because such sincere kindness is rare in this fluid world of international travel. To all you travelers, finding such a gem of a place can make your stay, so don’t hesitate to come here and stay a while when you come to Kathmandu! (To the staff again thanks- I am sure I will see you all again before I leave Nepal)

  • Oasis of peace in the middle of hectic Kathmandu Hotel Visit Nepal feels like an oasis of peace in the middle of hectic Kathmandu, in the centre of Thamel. In a back-and forth journey through Nepal, I came back there every time I was in Kathmandu again, and at a certain point, had the feeling of coming home again. The room was basic but clean and very good value. The staff was helpful, welcoming 24 hrs a day, kind and very reliable. If I ever visit Nepal again, I am sure to visit Visit Nepal!

  • It was great time staying here in "Visit Nepal" and getting to know the family who runs this place. The rooms are clean and the beds are very comfortable in comparison to other accomodation I experienced and with a small bathroom. The owner knows a lot about the country and his history so you are more then welcome to ask him any questions about the Kathmandu Valley. I found this hidden Guesthouse in Thamel over my Organisation i worked for ( Info Nepal) and this was the best what could have happened to me. The family gave me immediately the feeling of being just not only a Tourist / Customer. I could come up with any problems, questions or issues any time so this helped a lot to adjust to their lifestyle faster.

  • "Visit Hotel Visit Nepal !!!" "As I came to Nepal I learned the attraction everybody feel to it. It's not only about the views but its almost equally about people. It started with the smile of the hotel Visit Nepal manager Parashuram (just PR for easier pronounce) our talks about life in Nepal comparing to the west and his stories about places in Nepal which are better than any guide could give you. Needless to mention about the services with clean rooms and linen. For conclusion I have only one thing to say Visit Nepal!!!"

  • Hotel Visit Nepal is a wonderful place to stay in Kathmandu. My name is Jack Schulz and I live on Maui in the Hawaiian Islands U.S.A. I have stayed in this fine hotel in between my Annapurna trek, and my trip to Lhasa Tibet. They were so kind as to store any gear I didn’t need for my travels. The staff is all ready to help, and the manager has the knowledge and can help with booking any trek or tour you might want to take. I highly recommend this that you avail your self the chance to make new friends here in Nepal at this fine hotel.

  • My wonderful stay in nepal and especially in kathmandu hello folks If you decide to come to Nepal and Kathmandu you should definitely stop by here in this Hotel Visit Nepal. It is located in Thamel ( the Tourist area in Kathmandu) in a side street which is not too noice and hardly cars or motorcycles come by. The family who runs this lovely place is so kindful and will answer any questions and will give good advices for your stay here in Nepal. The rooms are clean and added with bathrooms and with required facilities. I had a unbelievable time here in Kathmandu and got to know the staff and manager and we became good good friends after staying here 7 times

  • To All trekkers in Katmandu, One of the best kept secrets in Katmandu is the Visit Nepal Hotel. What a wonderful surprise. On a quiet side street just 50 meters from the main street in Thamel is this gem. Run by Mr.Parashuram Simkhada and his devoted staff, it really is value for what you are getting. Clean rooms, with attached bathrooms and hot water, at very reasonable prices. An extra prize thrown is a view of the Himalayan you don’t even have to go to the roof to see it. So do yourselves a favor. When in Katmandu it is the Visit Nepal hotel.

  • Warm and Friendly! I never expected such a personal touch from an owner of a hotel. We were met by Parashuram (PR) at the airport and his personal touch continued throughout our stay. After two weeks of working in a Tibetan refugee village and trekking a bit, we just arrived back for one night before leaving for home and were immediately treated to tea. His staff is equally friendly and helpful. The rooms are clean, the price is very fair, and the location is ideal. Everything you need is right outside the door. Working with PR to arrange our stay was very easy. He immediately responded to our emails and was very accommodating. If you are looking for the personal touch, Hotel Visit Nepal is the place!

  • An excellent week stay! Hotel Visit Nepal was the warmest and friendliest place that we stayed in on our round the world trip. The owner, Mr. Simkhada, graciously met us at the airport as part of our week booking and our flight was an hour delayed. Nonetheless, he waited until we came into the Kathmandu bustle and collected us with a big smile and gave us tea immediately upon arrival at the hotel. The hotel staffs, especially the two young men on 24/7, were especially sweet and tended any request as fast as they could- also providing thoughtful conversation and explanations of the holiday season underway when we arrived. The hotel is on side street, steps off the main street in Thamel, which is nicer. We were on the 4th floor with a wide view of the mountains. Next to the hotel is a laundry, tea and snack shop, & money changer. At the end of the street, one minute walk away, is an excellent Nepali restaurant where we ate thali every night, also with friendly service.

  • A place of choice I arrived at Hotel Visit Nepal on a late Saturday afternoon. Parashuram (hotel manager) kindly met me in one of the busy streets of Thamel and escorted me to the hotel. The rooms are very clean, safe, all the staff are helpful, free WI FI connection and excellent location (just off the main road of Thamel). I am happy to say that Parashuram and his staff at all times answered all of my queries and questions about my stay in Nepal. in addition, the hotel manager was at all time very informative for all kinds of tourism services in Nepal and provided me with good information that aided my stay in thamel. I would highly recommend this hotel to anyone wanting to stay Thamel and I am sure they will feel welcome and enjoy there time here.

  • I stayed in Nepal for three and a half months volunteering with the non-profit Rising Lotus Children’s Village. Every week I visited Thamel to get a taste of western food and relax. During my first month I stayed at several different hotels, never really satisfied with any of them. Then I found Hotel Visit Nepal. The owner, Parashuram, is very friendly and he made my visits for the remaining two months that much more enjoyable. Aside from the friendly staff, the availability of a hot shower day or night, along with clean rooms and very reasonable prices makes Hotel Visit Nepal a very nice home away from home! I would recommend it to anyone looking for a place to stay in Thamel.

Parashuram the owner of Hotel Visit Nepal is a goldmine of information on Nepali history, geography and religion. His warm hearted staff have helped me enormously by arranging taxis and buses etc. On every stay here the rooms have been clean and kept in excellent order. Whenever I visit Kathmandu I will be staying at Hotel Visit Nepal.

Accueil souriant et personnel disponible. Bref, bonne adresse.

  • We stayed at Hotel Visit Nepal in December and were very satisfied with their service and environment. The hotel is located right in the shopping district and is very convenient to get around. The staffs were friendly and helpful with our enquiries and bookings. They made us feel welcomed and at ease in a foreign country. Our room was clean and cheerful with sunlight. The hotel is in the midst of an upgrade and will get even better! We had a very pleasant stay and would definitely return again.
